I’m Alden, the author of this humble blog.

Alden’s Journal is my personal blog, where I’ll share my daily life, K-pop, crochet, school experiences, and more. I’ll be writing my posts in English—even though most of my readers will probably be my Indonesian friends. But I don’t mind! Writing in English makes it easier for people from different countries to understand my posts.

Now, let’s talk about me!

My name is Alden, and I was born on May 22, 2010, which means I’m 14 years old (at the time of writing this).
Some of my favorite hobbies are dancing, singing, and crocheting! I’m also the first-born in my family.

Hmm, what else…

Oh yeah! I want to be a K-pop idol! 🎤✨
I’m working hard to make my dream come true. My goal is to become the first Indonesian male to debut under one of the top three K-pop labels (SM, JYP, or YG). At the time of writing this, Carmen from Hearts2Hearts just became the first Indonesian female idol to debut under SM Entertainment.

I plan to become a trainee around 2026-2027 and (hopefully!) debut in 2030.
(I’ll write more about my dream of becoming a K-pop idol in another post—so stay tuned!)

My life has definitely been a journey full of ups and downs, and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you all through this blog.

My Hobbies

I’ve already mentioned that my hobbies are dancing , singing , and crocheting , but I actually have a few more… though I don’t really do them anymore. Let’s start with dancing . When I was in elementary school, my mom encouraged me to join the Modern Dance (MD) club . So I did—and from there, I fell in love with dancing ! 💃✨ But now, I don’t really do MD anymore. Instead, I focus more on K-pop dances . For me, MD became a bit too easy, so I decided to try learning K-pop choreographies. My K-pop Journey

In my last post, I talked about how much I love K- pop , but I didn’t really dive deep into it. So today, I want to tell you all about it! The first time I ever heard about K-pop was when BTS released their song Dynamite . It was everywhere —everyone was talking about it! 🎶✨ I put the song on repeat so many times that my parents got bored of it. But after a while, I kind of forgot about it… A few years later… A new girl group debuted— NewJeans ! I became obsessed with their music. Their songs were so catchy; I just couldn’t stop listening! I loved them so much that I even started collecting their photocards . I even tried convincing my friend to become a fan too! But, of course, after listening to their songs every single day, I eventually started looking for something new.
